Height of Superstitious Believes
The above picture is taken in my office. Last 2 years I didn’t saw this idol (thristi bhommai) in our conference room. Couple of weeks before I saw it and was shocked. My office is in ICC tower, Pune. It’s a big building having numerous Multinational Companies(Deloitte, Cognizant etc.,) with people of different religion.
Is it necessary to have this kind of Idol in office where people of different religions work together?
The worse part is these Idols are not pictures of God but all evil pictures.
A company's growth directly depends on its vision, mission and values. Not with these idols. What is the purpose of having this kind of idols if a company doesn’t have any vision? (Good example: My own company)
In ancient Hindu books, Has there been any description about possession of these kind of idols. Then Who brought this superstitious belief?
See the above pictures. Few defence academy guys doing hindu rituals (ethanai periyaar vanthalum inthaa muttal makkala thirutha mudiyaathu) before practicing Pilot training. (Note: Lemon in the Helicopter tyre and the coconut in the student hand.)Military is a place where one should not give importance to ones religious. Even in NCC, one should not keep thilak on head and there should not be any religious rituals. The people who should be a role model to all are depend on this kind of superstitious belief. A military jawan should lay of his/her life to protect this country. If every Jawans pray their God in boundary line, then there wouldnt be a Kashmir. Higher officials should not entertain this kind of behaviors in war front.
What should one do if we come across this kind of stupid behaviors?

What do you mean life?
Hello readers,
Many times, when I was travelling in Mumbai tahnee height lift, I’ve thought of asking the below questions to the lift boy there. I asked some of those to them and their answers were shocking to me. Many of them are not aware of what’s happening in the outside world. Sometimes, I gathered my courage to tell them to leave the lift operating job. But I couldn’t do it. Every now and then, I think about the life of these guys. I couldn’t resist writing about them. I’ve written what I have learned from them as a narration differently. Surely, you guys might also have seen similar people in your office lift. If you have guts, ask them once about their life.
I’ve used many hindi words in between; but its easy to understand.

Cooking- No more an art.
This article is exclusively for my Mom and whosoever cooked for me till now.
I addressed some of the business models (inventory, 12 sigma etc.,) in cooking in this blog. I just try to relate the different business skills required for the cooking.
Many people think it’s an easy job to cook rather than doing a business but cooking is related to lots of business skills. There are so many variables to maintain in cooking.
Inventory
A good cook should always maintain low inventory to reduce the cost on the storage. Here inventory includes both raw material as well as cooked food. In addition to that, high inventory is always a threat to the shelf life of the food product.
First comes first out
People used to pack lots of things in fridge and they mess whole thing out there.
Clear whatsoever left in the fridge and give importance to the shelf life of the food.
12 sigma
Cooking is a most sensitive business where one should have a good control over rejection. The food rejection will not only impacts the cost but also impacts the relationship with customer. Cooking sigma levels are always high and many are achieving it.
In a way, I personally felt cooking is the only manufacturing process where many are operating at 12 sigma levels.
5S
You may often come across kitchens (especially bachelors) which looks messy. 5s is a handy tool to improve the efficiency in the cooking process. It also helps one to have a hygienic food.
As like any other business, some key cooking process includes
1) Raw materials sourcing
2) Manufacturing
3) Marketing
A customer (person who eats the cooked food) always wants three aspects in food.
1) Cheaper in cost (will it be a home made or hotel made)
2) Healthy (proper amount of proteins+curbs+ carbohydrates+ minerals)
3) Quality (No harmfull bacteria+taste+Not to effect the health due to quality)
Raw materials.
To have a good recipe always you need better raw materials. Quality depends on the ingredients which we add to the food. When it comes to raw materials, there are many variables to be considered
Cost- Cost is a prime factor even though if some one cooks tasty,healthy food and if it is not cost effective, then there is no use in cooking at home. Instead one can buy food from the hotels.
Health- The basic aim of eating food is to give energy to the body to do work. The ingredients itself should have proteins etc.
Taste- Taste is not only an attribute of raw material but it also depends on the manufacturing process.
Odor- Human beings are susceptible to taste and odor, therefore whatever be the food you need to have some ingredients which should console your taste and odor buds.
Shelf life- Each raw material have its own shelf life and it should be used before its shelf life period. Many people waste the food because of improper handling of raw material inventory and on time usage.
Manufacturing
Manufacturing is a key in cooking which includes
Equipments- one should invest sufficient amount of fund for equipments.
How long will it takes to cook rice without a pressure cooker?
As like any manufacturing process, equipments (grinder, mixer etc.,) and technology (the way one should cook) plays vital role in determining the quality of food.
Time- Time is money. A proper technology with good equipment always takes care of the time. One should not make the customer to wait too long for food.
Post cooking process- Most of Indian food takes lots of post cooking process. For example; Dosa mix takes a day to prepare. I think that’s why these days’ people prefer ready made mix from the shop.
Operating cost- One should always control operating cost. It includes electric bill, Gas usage etc., Thanks to people who are still using wood for cooking. As our coal deposit will be vanished in 150 years, they are the one who are using renewable resources’ in India now.
Marketing
When it comes to marketing, the cooked food should pull the people towards it.
A final product should looks good to the eyes too. It should not look like a piece of shit. People always go for a food which looks good for first instance.
Manufacturing process should abide to strict ISO policy. No ants or cockroaches allowed.
You can name any business model, am sure it will definitely related to cooking.
On mothers day, am really proud that my mother have a really good business skills and she thought me lots of business models through cooking itself. Cooking is no more an art and it’s a business.

Do terrorism have end?
History
Historically, Pakistan and Afghanistan were the gateway to India for any foreign invaders (Example: Thaimur and Alexander). They invaded India through Hyber Canal. This is how Babur came to India around 1480 and that was the starting point for the 400 years mughal rule in India. After Mughals, it was British who ruled India for 200 years. Britain gave freedom but they didn’t consolidate the differences in India. They left Kashmir a separate independent region and the decision was left to Kashmiri intentions to stay either with India or with Pakistan. This is how the dispute developed between Indians and Pakistanis over Kashmir.
Who are these terrorist? Where they belongs to?
1) Pakistan born terrorist- Due to economic backlog and improper guidance from the government, the poor and young lads end up as terrorist. Government is indirectly helping the training camp and the trainees. Also these training camps are getting funds for their task from the Jihads around the world. There are hell lots of people donating money for this Jihads cause. The terrorist are working like an employees under organization like Lakshar etc., for a one time salary of 1.5 lakhs.
2) India born terrorist (Indian Mujahideen) - India should shield itself internally towards terrorism. This can be achieved only when the Muslim minority community should be recognized properly by Indian government. Otherwise there will be lot of chances for the rebirth of Indian Mujahideen movement. As per Mandel commission (see www.countercurrents.org), the Muslim society is too backward and Government should uplift them. This kind of government negligence towards particular community creates turbulence in that community and this will lead young guys to end up their life as terrorist.
Drawbacks of India (After Mumbai attacks)
1) India has poor technology to tackle terrorist activity. For example: In recent Mumbai attack it was almost 50 hours to locate the terrorist. It would be much easier if commandos used some camera probe for locating the terrorist. Also if India had automatic robots to shoot terrorist then the mission would have completed much faster. This will also save commandos life. India should learn from Japan and other developed countries in using technology in defense field.
2) Indian security system is not up to the mark. For example: the total internal security system is obsolete. The security system is capable of catching petty thief, kundas and the people violating laws. Also, the police force is capable of locating terrorist and able to track their moves. But do police have caliber to attack people who by chance terrorist? How many of the policemen have guts to use their guns against terrorist? Does Indian police force have different departments to handle this kind of cases? Do our equipments are well versed than the terrorist?
3) Poor system and infrastructure which always leads to easy terrorist attack.
4) Corruption in all levels and in all areas. India moved from 72nd place to 83rd position in corruption. Most of the people don’t know the impact of corruption which can lead to any danger to life.
How to tackle the terrorism?
1) Muslim community should be uplifted and government should give some importance to them in education and in employment. This will obviously eradicate India born terrorist. Definitely no Indian Muslims will be part of terrorism at any point of time.
2) Instead of depending largely on Manpower, it’s necessary to invest some money on advance technology for defense. Japan is working on manless defense system due to their declining population.
3) Indian security system should given proper weapon handling training. The sad story is that the terrorist equipments are technologically well ahead of Indian police guns. The terrorists were trained to use computer, blackberry and all advance technology. Do Indian police are trained in using computers? A compulsory 3 years military training is necessary for all police men at all levels. If each state has a terrorist attack squad this will definitely save the lead time to tackle terrorist attack.
4) System should be in place. For example: Every Indian should have an Indian citizenship card. Except the ration card, Indians don’t have any common card. Every Indian should have a common Indian citizen card and proper documents of the individual should be maintained right from the birth. Any illegal activities if they do then that will be marked in their card and this card will be used for all kind of transaction and identification. Indians do have voter ID, Pan Card, License, Passport etc., but this is of no use because it doesn’t have any proof about their history. There should be a separate card (Indian citizenship card) which should have a history of each individual citizen in India.
5) Infrastructure and corruption should be controlled both from political side as well as from officer’s side.
How long terrorism will be there?
1) Historically, all disputes were settled down over a period of time. Will it be an US bomb attack on Japan or Germany-UK First World War or Vietnam War or Korea war? This gave confidence to Indians that India-Pak disputes will be settled in future.
2) Terrorism will be boosted only when a country have bad economical condition. If a country failed in economic back up then all other stuff will be collapsed. Now, Pakistan has imbalanced economy and at any point of time this will be collapsed. If India and other Asia pacific countries join hands with each other like European unions, definitely Pakistanis and Indians becomes brothers and sisters. Hence India should promote trade and economic balance with all Asian pacific countries including Pakistan. This is what China is doing to Pakistan by providing arms and aircraft fighters to create Chinese followers in Asia pacific region.
3) When socio/economic condition improves definitely there will be less people to join in terrorist activity. Since Pakistan’s recent terrorist were hired for the Mumbai attacks just for 1.5 lakhs rupees.
How can you be the part of tackling terrorism?
1) Direct participation- Be a part of Indian defense, Join in civil services, Join in ISRO, DRDO science institute, join in politics.
2) Indirect Participation- Help in promoting Indian economy that in turn will help government to allocate budget to all military requirement. Obey the rules and regulations, report to police and government if any suspicious things found. Don’t do any corruption and never be a part of it.
Definitely one day India and Pakistan will be on same page and who knows even Asia pacific countries will unite and form a common banking system (Asia pacific central bank).

By the by sir, hw is te economic position in US? i don know anything about economy, but our company chairman says cash flow and working capital are poor now.
Am sorry sir, i didnt introduced me for a while.. am from the land of tolerance and universal acceptance (sir it was not told by me but by hamara small father Vivekananda in chikago) and add to this am from the land of adjustability too sir. today i was watching the bulb which was fused 6 months back, everytime before shaving i think the bulb holder should be changed but as u know v indians always adjust to situation.. i left as it is.
U know sir, last week my apartment had no water and current for 5 hours but noone complaint .. even u know tat we guys didnt even ask the society for the reason being cut off water.. sir, it doesnt mean tat v r in bad apartment but it s one such gud apartment having 500 rich families in pune.. i understood tat u r thinking of the slumbs situation in India while reading this..
sir, i heard tat u US people got frightened after twin tower attack, but see we indians adjust to the bomb blast and terrorist activities.. sometime bak we do got the earth quake in gujarat sir but the people came to normal life te nxt day of the earth quake.. i heard tat there was an earthquake in losvegas few months bak. is everything k sir?..
sir, i heard tat US is good in innovation, can you pls ask your scientist to find some alternate source for socks?? since everytime its hard for me to wash my socks.. but any how i washed my socks after a month and i completed that saga yesterday sir. v even adjust to live without washing our socks sir.
Sir, you know that the maharastra chief minister's electricity usage is higher than the president usage but CM is cutting the electricity everyday and spoiled our industry growth even at this economic crunch.. sir, how is electricity usage in US?? wenever coming to India, pls bring some candles too sir.. i am sure it ll be usefull to u.

Ofcourse mumbai people are already adjust to mumbai train attacks but this time they attacked south mumbai.. sir, its my pleasure to explain abt south mumbai where i lived for 4 months by te grace of our MD(he is american like u), south mumbai is place for rich people and u can also see servants even for the rich people's dogs in south mumbai.. sir, as i understood u r te symbol of race demolition in US but in south mumbai there is lot of difference between rich and poor. the difference starts from lift itself, all apartments have 2 kind of lifts sir. one for servant and another for rich belly people. after i saw this difference i used to walk in steps to my fifth floor office in nariman point sir but i couldnt do incase of my apartment. since it was in 32nd floor. these rich people are having honda and mercedes sir, the milege is 3-5km and they are adding the energy consumption to India.. they never bothered abt people around them sir all they want is their life. but this servants they never complained abt the difference between the rich and poor , they never does any revolution sir, they don know abt revolts against racism in US or french revolution or czar revolution in russia .. the servants are like dogs sir, even if you kick their ass they will come and rotate ur legs sir..
sir, few times i stayed in tat Oberai hotel (original name is trident sir) but evrytime wen i enter the lobby they ll question me sir.. the security will ask lot of question, eventhough i stayed there.. but i never question him sir because i adjust to it sir.. i was told by someone not to over react sir.. but u see now, they allowed terrorist.. always indians are judging people with face value sir..
sir, u know most of the americans r used 2 stay in trident and taj sir, today its under terrorist attack.. sir, will you send ur army to attack these terrorist in India? sir, will you attack pakistan?? sir, next time when you go to pakistan say my regards to my old frnd musharraf but v wont attack pakistan sir because v adjust to terrorism and we dont know the value of life yet here..
sir the taj hotel was builted on 1930's.. first time wen i gone to tat bar i met anil ambani there.. all rich people used to come there.. this terrorist all having extremly good brain sir like u americans.. sir I have a personal question, did america trained this terrorist(bin laden) ppl??..
sir sorry for te discontinuty, i gone to get my US visa application photo but u know they told me to come after an hour. I took te photo in the morning but he didnt developed te photo yet. wat u will do in US sir?? will you kick his ass because he didnt developed the foto after 12 hours.. but still v are from india and we are adjust to it.. again sir, tat photo wala(these days i learnt hindi little) told tat he is late because of electricity cut,.. its not the problem of indians but it s in our genes sir,..

well its almost 50 days down from october 2, people used to call tat day as gandhi jayanthi.
I like to share few things about gandhi here. hope u guys ll like it.
i don know wen i started hating Gandhi.. i don like him at all.. he is a coward,timid and his followers r dumb..historically people like courage and brave leaders,.. 10 years back i thought that he never gave a solution to the gals who wr raped by british during freedom fight...this is at tat point of time i attend the "Gandhi- the mistakes" a speech given by kumari ananthan (ex-congress tamilnadu leader and gandhian follower). the mistakes he quoted was
1) Gandhi is the reason for pakistan split and the riot in bengal..
2) Gandhi/Congress didnt supported bagat singh and bagat singh death sentance would be withdrawn if gandhi supported him.
3) Refused to elect subash chandra bose as Indian national congress leader(second term).
4) Postpone the indian freedom.
The same day after the speech i read the Ghandhi autobiography(sathyasothanai) and the following are the answers which I understood from the book..

pakistan split and riots in Bengal- Gandhi never agreed to the pakistan split but gandhi's policies led to the split. Jinnah was not recognised properly by Gandhi, Gandhi gave importance to abir khan, maulana and other muslim leaders but not to Jinnah. This led the Jinnah to start a new party under new nation(same like today's politics, நாதாரிகல). when the partition was out of control, gandhi tried to unite both India and bengal, this led to the riots in bengal.
2) Bagat singh case- Gandhi didnt supported him because Bagat singh used non-violence as a weopen against British(note its not freedom fight,என்ன கொடுமை சரவணன் இது??)
3) Against Subash chandrabose- This one is not yet clear to me but as i understood from subash chandra bose life history, gandhi didnt liked him because he always supported non-violence. The worst thing happen when gandhi supported lala lajput rai(forgot te name need to check) for the congress leader post and he was terribly lost to subash chandrabose.The fact is many of the indian congress members voted for subash chandra bose and he was elected as a Indian congress leader.This led to the conflict in indian national congress itself and finally subash quit his leadership and started the indian national army.
Delay in freedom- Yes, British planned to hoist Indian national flag on 1935 but it was postponed due to the conflict in indian national congress and gandhi didnt show much interest for the freedom of the nation rather he worked for the freedom of Indian people from illetracy, superstitious believes,building proper economic/political structure etc. There are few people who says that the freedom was postponed because of the following reasons.
1) Jinnah started his slogan for a seperate country. 2) Dravida kalagam raised their slogan for seperate dravidian nation. 3) Raja and maharaja rules were not consolidated in 1935( It was consolidated only on january 30,1950 and they included kashmir later, அப்ப வெச்ச ஆப்பு, இன்னு எடுக்க முடியல!!!)
The following are things that I understood from sathyasothanai,
1) He didnt worked for the freedom of India (means land) rather he worked for the freedom from people themselves (freedom from caste,communalism,superstitious believes etc.,)
2) Non violence is the best weopen available to human beings (tamil politicians should tell this to LTTE's, if prabhakaran used this weapon atleast this point of time he would be in a position to get the global support. Its not yet late, prabhakaran can follow the non-violence at any time.)
4) Before freedom, gandhi wants to remove the monarchy(kashmir,hyderabadi and udaipur kings) and it would have happened, then there wont be any fight for kashmir now.
If u ever want to know abt gandhian principles and philosophy, please read his book and try to follow his thought. Gandhi is one whose thoughts r simple but difficult to follow.. am still trying to follow him(already 10 years over)..
